Tallinn Estonia (December 4-6)

We spent a few days in Tallinn exploring the old city and the Seaplane Harbour Museum. Melanie and I had previously visited Tallinn and felt it would provide a different cultural and architectural experience for the two boys. We also enjoyed a traditional Christmas-season lunch at the museum (e.g., blood sausage among other items).

Visiting Tallinn also included seeing the protest signs outside of the Russian embassy and the Christmas market (that’s my younger son Will) – lending quite a contrast to these scenes.

Our visit in Tallinn was relatively short with us catching the 0600 ferry back to Helsinki. From the ferry terminal in Helsinki we went directly to Vantaa to catch an afternoon flight to Ivalo.
